Idea Financial today announced Idea Signature, a new program offering revolving lines of credit of up to $1 million to established midsize businesses, funded through a joint venture with funds managed by MidOcean Partners. The program has a capacity of up to $225 million and nearly triples Idea Financial’s maximum line size. Idea Financial serves as both an equity investor in the venture and its servicer, underwriting, funding, and managing every line on the venture’s behalf.
Idea Signature adds a new tier on top of Idea Financial’s core business, which continues to offer lines of credit up to $350,000 and term loans to small businesses in 47 states. The program is designed for profitable, established businesses that have outgrown small-ticket online lenders but find bank and SBA financing slow, collateral-heavy, and difficult to access when they need it most.
“Larry and I started Idea in the conference room of our law firm in 2017, and we are now approaching $1.5 billion in originations,” said Justin Leto, Chief Executive Officer of Idea Financial. “Midsize businesses are some of the most underserved borrowers in the country. They are too big for most online lenders and too time-sensitive for most banks. Idea Signature lets us finance them at the size they need.”
“Many of our borrowers started with us at $50,000 or $100,000 and have grown into companies that need a million-dollar line,” said Larry Bassuk, President of Idea Financial. “With Idea Signature, we can keep financing them as they grow, and our broker partners can bring us their larger clients.”
“Idea Financial has built a disciplined credit and servicing operation, and the team has a long record of performance through different credit environments,” said Teddy Tawil, Portfolio Manager at MidOcean Partners. “We see a real and durable need for flexible capital among midsize businesses, and we are pleased to partner with Idea Financial to meet it.”
The launch follows Idea Financial’s inaugural $100 million asset-backed securitization completed in September 2026. Idea Signature is the first of several larger-scale capital programs Idea Financial plans to launch in 2027.
