Juan was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and grew up in Miami. He attended Belen Jesuit Preparatory School and went on to earn a B.S. in Computer Science from Florida International University.
Before joining Idea Financial in 2024, Juan spent more than 12 years in IoT and telemetry at Digital Communications Technologies, where he served as Principal Engineer and Co-CTO. Today he leads Idea Financial’s Product and Engineering team, delivering for customers and removing friction for the teams behind them.
Outside of work, Juan enjoys golf, reading, and travel.
